Best Practices

Quillit can handle up to 50 total files in a single request if you're not using the Citations feature. These files can be a mix of text transcripts, each with up to 100,000 words, and audio or video recordings, each up to 10 hours long. Keep in mind that processing time is influenced by the number of files you include. However, if you're using the Citations feature, you should limit your upload to 25 files and up to 15 questions per request.

Use the context field to explain your project. Be as clear and precise about the content of the files. This helps Quillit understand and summarize your content accurately. Avoid including instructions in the Context field.

Enter one question per field. Remember that your questions are actually prompts about what you want Quillit to find for you. Be specific about what you are asking. Keep questions simple and to the point. You can add as many questions as necessary but be sure to separate each question into an individual field.

If you have specific formatting preferences or rules for how questions should be answered, state these precisely in the respective question fields. Copy/paste the instructions into each question field following the question.

For optimal results, aim for 10-15 questions per report. If you have more questions, it’s a good idea to split them into batches and request multiple reports.

Yes, you can request verbatim quotes in Quillit by specifying in your question that you seek quotes to illustrate your points. Quillit will strive to find exact matches to your request, but it may sometimes paraphrase as an attempt to closely match your needs. Although Quillit can work with both video/audio recordings and transcripts, transcripts typically lead to more precise outcomes.

Report turnaround time is generally based on the number of files, their length and the number of questions you’ve asked. Typically, you are asking many questions about multiple files, containing many hundred thousands of words. Give Quillit the time it needs to respond to your requests. The volume and complexity of your content and the questions you have asked Quillit to answer directly influence processing times.

The Citations feature allows you to verify both verbatim and paraphrased quotes by providing a direct link to the source document. This way, you can easily compare Quillit’s output with the original material, ensuring accuracy and enhancing your confidence in the information provided for your reports.

Deleting a file from your project folder that’s been used in a Quillit report could also remove the associated report. Download your report or copy and paste your report into a document to make sure it’s saved!
