Healthcare Center Research Study

Study done on healthcare research centers

The Challenge

How did a healthcare center become more proficient at diagnosing and managing the vast array of eczema problems their dermatologists faced in daily practice?

The Solution

The patients used the ThoughtLight® audio journal feature to record their symptoms and take photos of their skin appearance every time they had a skin flare up. In order to get a more precise and detailed result, the activities were held over three months. By reading the transcribed journal comments in line with the related photos, physicians were more able to accurately diagnose the severity of their skin condition as well as measure the success level of the prescribed treatment products. Requesting comments on personal experiences from eczema flare-ups also provided richer details on the problems patients with this medical condition have to deal with in their everyday lives. After the study, the health care center was able to use the findings to promote their treatments and become more well-known as a place to seek medical help for eczema-related skin conditions.
